We have
teamed up with Basement Systems, Inc. - the
world leader in interior basement drainage
technology, to offer a full exterior and
interior system that will ensure that
new homes constructed with this system will
have a dry basement floor for the life of
the building.
The
Dry Shield System
is a 2-part process:
First apply one of the
Aquaseal's waterproofing products to the
exterior foundation walls. Whether you use
Eco-Flex, Gray Coat or Green Shield
the foundation will be sealed with a
flexible rubber membrane that prevents water
penetration through the concrete.
The second
part is for the interior foundation - an
innovative new product from Basement Systems
called CactusBoardIIÔ.
This unique product is a molding that
creates a 3/8" space between the floor and
the wall. This space allows any water that
penetrates the foundation from form ties,
pipe penetrations or windows that are not
properly sealed to drain down into the stone
aggregate under the floor and keep the floor
dry. CactusBoardIIÔ
is fast and easy to install - the perimeter
of an average house takes about 30 minutes
and the concrete floor is then poured on
top.
The
Dry Shield System will put an end
to wet basement problems in ALL the new
homes you build. The system is so effective
in keeping basement floors dry, it comes
with a 20 Year
Warranty - no one else in the
waterproofing industry comes even close
to matching that kind of warranty.
If
required, a heavy duty sump liner with an
airtight lid is also available for a nominal
charge. The Superliner can either be used as
a drain for excess water diverted by
CactusBoardIIÔ
floor edging, or used to contain a sump
pump, if local conditions or building code
requirements call for one.
